It was bending, twisting, crawling so that it could free itself from the hold. It was
wriggling and jumping on itself, so eager was it to finally move. It was wildly swinging
backwards and forwards, without being able to stop. Eventually, it was coming out.
It was visible, unaware for a while of the repulsion it was inducing. A sense of disgust
and a nameless fear. It was said to have commited the worst crimes and the most
frightening horrors. It was similar to an indelebile mark. No one ever knew the reason
of its strange appearance, but until now, no one ever dared touch it, not even lightly.
It was a long and black as ink hand. A blueish and deep black, homogenous and
perfect. It was a straight hand. The fingers were slender, the nails finely drawn, the
skin slighty satin-like. The entire hand was colored black, from the nails until the wrist.
At this point the colored mass was stopping neatly, definitely and abruptly, as in a line
traced with a razor. Beyond this limit, the rest of the body was entirely white.

qu’elle provoquait. Un dégoût et une peur sans nom. On lui prêtait
les pires crimes et les horreurs les plus effroyables. Elle était comme
une marque indélébile. On n’a jamais rien su de son étrange aspect,
mais jusque-là, personne n’avait jamais osé la toucher, ni même l’effleurer.
C’était une main longue et noire comme de l’encre. Un noir bleuté et profond,
homogène et parfait. C’était une main droite. Les doigts étaient effilés,
les ongles finement dessinés, la peau légèrement satinée. La main entière était
colorée de noir, des ongles jusqu’au poignet. Ici la massecolorée s’arrêtait net,
de façon tranchée et abrupte, telle une ligne tracée au rasoir.
Par-delà cette limite, le reste du corps était entièrement blanc.
